The AMD RX 9060 XT graphics card will feature 12GB of GDDR6 memory with a 192-bit memory interface, achieving a total bandwidth of 468.1 GB/s.
Prominent leaker MLID indicates that the RX 9060 XT's performance is expected to surpass NVIDIA's RTX 4060 Ti, positioning it between the RTX 4060 Ti and the RX 7700 XT. If AMD further increases clock speeds, the RX 9060 XT could potentially approach RTX 4070 performance levels. MLID predicts that the RX 9060 XT will likely launch officially in April.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA is also expected to release the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards this month, targeting the same market segment. The RTX 5060 series will reportedly be available in both 8GB and 16GB GDDR7 memory versions, supporting a 128-bit memory interface with memory speeds of up to 28 Gbps, delivering a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s—a substantial 65% improvement over the RTX 4060's 272 GB/s. Additionally, the RTX 5060 series will support the PCIe 5.0 interface, promising significant advances in both performance and energy efficiency.
As the RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 series cards enter the market, they are expected to provide more diverse options for budget-conscious gamers and potentially spark a new wave of competition in the fiercely contested budget GPU market.
