LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors
LG has unveiled its new UltraGear monitors for 2022, featuring a sleek and sharp design with Hexagon Lighting and HDMI 2.1 compatibility. These monitors are designed to deliver stunning gaming performance on both PCs and the latest consoles, with features such as variable refresh rate (VRR) and fast 4K resolution. The new UltraGear lineup also boasts impressive picture quality and ultra-fast response time, thanks to LG’s advanced display technologies.
The UltraGear 32GQ950 is a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) gaming monitor that uses LG’s Nano IPS 1ms display technology with ATW Polarizer technology, which enhances the colour accuracy and contrast ratio of the panel from any viewing angle. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR™ 1000 certified, meaning it can produce high peak brightness (1,000 nits) and 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space. The monitor also has two HDMI 2.1 ports for easy connection to PCs and consoles.
The UltraGear 32GQ850 is a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) gaming monitor that offers the highest refresh rate of the new lineup – 240Hz, O/C 260Hz – and a 1ms response time. The monitor also uses LG’s Nano IPS 1ms display technology with ATW Polarizer technology, ensuring smooth and vivid visuals from any angle. The monitor is VESA AdaptiveSync Display-certified and VESA DisplayHDRTM 600 certified, covering 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space. The monitor has a three-sided borderless design that creates an immersive gaming experience.
LG’s First OLED Gaming Monitor!
In 2022, LG UltraGear is releasing its first OLED gaming monitor, the 48GQ900. This 48-inch 4K display has won both Red Dot and iF Design Awards and features a 120Hz refresh rate (overclockable to 138Hz), a 0.1ms response time, excellent color accuracy, and a borderless design. The monitor is suitable for both PC and console gaming and offers the high color reproduction and contrast of OLED technology. It also has LG’s anti-glare low reflection coating to minimize visual distractions during gameplay. The monitor comes with a remote control for easy gaming convenience and a stand that provides stability without taking up too much desk space.
LG’s latest UltraGear gaming monitors also include a 4-pole headphone jack for plugging in a gaming headset and chatting while playing. The 2022 models feature DTS Headphone:X surround sound for clear in-game audio.
In addition to the new monitor, LG UltraGear is also releasing its first gaming pad and gaming mouse this year. The gaming pad is large enough for a mouse and keyboard, has customizable RGB lighting, and is reversible with a smooth surface for maximum glide and a rougher surface for better braking. It provides precise control for fast-paced gaming.
