NVIDIA RTX xx60 series now requiring more than 220W?
First rumors about NVIDIA next-gen mid-range model called GeForce RTX 4060.
According to Kopite7kimi, the next-gen RTX 4060 graphics card is reportedly launching with higher TDP than RTX 3070. The RTX 3070 is based on a cut-down GA104 GPU with TDP limited to 220W. This means that RTX 4060 would ship with even higher TDP.
NVIDIA has been progressively increasing TDP for its GeForce xx70 and xx60 series over each generation, so this new wouldn’t be very surprising news. Yet one might wonder if GeForce performance segments even mean anything as new SKUs are added with increased power and, oftentimes, higher price.

New release dates
Yesterday, a new rumor with release dates for RTX 30 series has emerged. Citing their own sources, Wccftech claims that the launch date has again been shifted by a month. Interestingly, for the first time, the RTX 4060 graphics card was mentioned with possible CES 2023 debut:

These dates for RTX 4090-4070 series are all about a month later than we reported, which was already a month later than first rumors (July). Clearly there is a lot of confusion surrounding this launch and a lot of uncertainty among board partners, who will now have somehow to sell the excess of the RTX 30 inventory ahead of the “Ada” generation launch.
