Beyond AORUS: Gigabyte Stealth Design Arrives on Mid-Range AMD 800 Motherboards

Gigabyte Expands Stealth Series Motherboard Lineup with AMD 800-Series Chipsets

Tech enthusiast @harukaze5719 recently spotted listings on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website revealing that Gigabyte has registered a range of new motherboards.  Notably, these include several additions to their "Stealth" series, all built around the latest AMD 800-series chipsets.

The design is highly likely to continue with the white, back-mounted connector scheme that characterizes the Stealth series.  Interestingly, this aesthetic approach isn't limited to the high-end AORUS line; Gigabyte is also extending it to their mid-range "A" series motherboards. This indicates a clear strategy from Gigabyte to broaden the availability of this visually appealing design, catering to the growing demand for high-performance PCs that also prioritize clean aesthetics.

The specific Gigabyte motherboard models listed on the EEC are as follows:

B550M DS3H AC R2

B850 A STEALTH ICE

B850 AORUS STEALTH ICE

B850 EAGLE WF7 ICE

B850 EAGLE WIFI7 ICE

B850M A ELT WF6E

B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E

X870 A STEALTH ICE

X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE

X870E A ELITE WF7 ICE

X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7

X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE

The B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE is a standard ATX form factor motherboard featuring a robust 12+2+2 phase digital power design. It offers four DDR5 memory slots, supporting speeds of DDR5-8000+ (OC) and a maximum capacity of 192GB.

For expansion, it includes a full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. Storage options are plentiful with a total of three M.2 slots – one PCIe 5.0 and two PCIe 4.0 – all equipped with Gigabyte's M.2 EZ-Latch Plus/Click quick-release mechanism for tool-less drive installation.  Additionally, it provides four SATA III ports with support for RAID 0/1/10 configurations.

Connectivity is cutting-edge, featuring a MediaTek MT7927 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless capabilities.  Gigabyte has also implemented a new quick-release design for the wireless antenna connections, further simplifying the build process.

On the rear I/O panel, the B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE offers a comprehensive set of ports, including: one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port (10Gbps), one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (10Gbps), five USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (5Gbps), and four USB 2.0 ports. For networking, it includes a 2.5GbE Ethernet port and standard audio jacks. A dedicated button for one-click BIOS updates is also present on the rear panel, a convenient feature for system builders and enthusiasts.

For front panel connectivity, the motherboard provides a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 header (20Gbps) and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 header (5Gbps). Additionally, an HDMI 1.4 port is included, enabling front or internal secondary display setups for users who desire extra screen real estate or system monitoring capabilities within their PC case.
