Recent data from Mindfactory, a well-known German retailer, reveals AMD's commanding lead in the German CPU market for January of this year. AMD processors accounted for a staggering 92.16% of total CPU sales volume.
Looking at revenue, AMD's CPUs generated €8.3 million in sales, capturing 93.45% of the total revenue. In contrast, Intel's sales revenue reached €582,000, representing a mere 6.55% share. Interestingly, AMD also achieved a slightly higher average selling price per CPU at €352, compared to Intel's €290.
The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D emerged as a standout performer, selling an impressive 8,390 units within the month and becoming the top-selling CPU overall. The Ryzen 5 7600X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D also demonstrated strong sales, with 2,430 and 1,640 units sold respectively.
On the other side, Intel's latest Arrow Lake series processors appear to be underperforming in the market. The best-selling model from this series, the Core Ultra 7 265KF, only managed to sell 50 units, while the flagship Core Ultra 9 285K recorded a meager 10 sales.
In terms of CPU socket types, AMD's AM5 and AM4 platforms dominated with market shares of 71.84% and 20.31% respectively. Intel's LGA 1700 and LGA 1851 sockets held significantly smaller shares, at 6.81% and 0.72%.
Notably, none of Intel's CPUs made it into the top 20 best-selling CPU list at Mindfactory. Even Intel's top performer, the Core i5 14600KF, only managed to reach the 30th position in sales ranking.
